Managing forests virtually: Marteloscopes and I+ Trainer Mobile App
Have you ever wondered what is a marteloscope? Here we have some wild guesses from passers-by and of course also the correct answer.
The Integrate project was carried out by Karelia University of Applied Sciences, European Forest Institute, and the Finnish Forest Centre. The project used and further developed the I+ Trainer mobile application, which utilizes collected data-and creates a learning environment for integrating forest biodiversity in forest management.

Biodiversity is this year’s theme of #WocheDerUmwelt, which takes place at the invitation of the Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the German Federal Environment Foundation (DBU). EFI Bonn will be there as an exhibitor and will present the concept of the Marteloscopes: an innovative training tool for the visualization of silvicultural decisions.
